how we work

Quotation:

At this stage, all we require is a set of plans, elevations and a site plan. These can be hard copies, PDF’S or CAD files. From these we will either suggest the best viewing angle, or work in the angle you specifically request. We will then provide you with a quotation, usually the same day. This is valid for a period of 30 days.

Working Process:

Once instructed, we will need the CAD files containing floor plans, elevation, sections and external work layout. We will also ask for a materials schedule if they are not specified on the drawings. We encourage clients to ensure the drawings are at a stage where they are unlikely to be amended/revised before giving us the final set.

First, we model the building(s) and hard landscaping features in 3D, using the CAD information supplied. Once this is completed we will set up a virtual camera and send you copy of the suggested viewing angle. This image gives the client a chance to comment on the layout/composition of the scene and any architectural features such as window styles etc.

Once the composition and 3D model have been approved, we move on to the next stage: we add the materials & lighting. We can use materials from our extensive libraries or match samples supplied by your manufacturers. Our display and proofing equipment is all colour calibrated regularly to ensure the best possible reproduction of the colours and materials on your buildings.

In the final step, we add the cars, people, soft landscaping and planting. This stage is often referred to as the “post production” stage. This is where the image really comes to life and we add a number of subtle effects and features to add impact to the image. This artistic flexibility and our talented post production team can make your CGI unique and stand out from the crowd. This will then be sent to you for final comment and approval.

The importance we place in customer service and our understanding of the nature of the construction industry means that we are sympathetic to the slightly “fluid” nature of the design and build process. This is why we operate this “staged” approval process as it keeps our clients in the picture and allows them to have feedback as the image is progressing: as a result, when the final image is delivered, it rarely requires further amendments or revisions. We can supply your images in whichever format suits you or your marketing agency best. Alternatively, we can arrange printing for you; from anything small to large format.
